Kitty's first vet appointment

It won't surprise anyone that knows me that I love cats. Sorry dear boyfriend, bunnies are just ok. And even less ok when they eat through the furniture. My precious little babies haven't destroyed anything yet. Except my bank account. This week I took all three of them to the vet. Boy is that expensive!

Overall the week went well. It was my first week in my new dialysis clinic for work. It was nice meeting all my new patients. I miss the old ones, but I've found some friendly faces in my new work-home.

I'm currently reading: How to Read the Bible, by James Kugel; Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by J. K. Rowling; and Stiletto, by Daniel O'Malley.

I have acquired: The Literary Guide to the Bible, by Robert Alter and Frank Kermode. This is a book of essays about each book or section of the Bible, and I will peruse it as I'm reading the Bible next year for my Bible Group Read

This post is linked up to Sunday Salon (on Facebook) and  Deep Fried Fruit's Lovin' Life.

  1. I'm curious about Stiletto.

Cute cats! I do love cats more than other four-legged creatures, and have had them. Lately, I am "cat-less," and will probably stay that way for now.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    1. Stiletto is the sequel to Rook, which was an amazing book. So far, I'm faltering a bit on listening to Stiletto - I've hit a bit of a slow patch. But I think it's worth bullying through till it speeds up again. I've heard good things about it.

  2. I also love cats. Your felines look very cute.

My wife is in the Veteran field and gets a big discount and we still find that medical care can be expensive.

I really must lay my hands on some of the books that relate to Bible analyses.

    1. There are SO many books on Bible analysis. I have to stop myself from buying new ones before I've read the old ones.

  3. I love cats but my husband tells me no more animals. He thinks we are too old!

I'm interested in your group reading the Bible as literature. Interesting!

    1. Yeah, I think "too old" is the excuse my dad is giving my mom, too, lol. But I guess I see the point. It is nice having the added companionship, though.

  4. Oh yes, vets booster bills are no fun BUT then they curl up on you and do a cute cat thing and it's all okay, they're forgiven! #LovinLifeLinky
