Well, it's been an eventful month for me. I started my EMT class and training for a new volunteer opportunity. And I put in my 2-weeks' notice at work (next week will be my last). I didn't set out to make the New Year a mini-rebirth, but I feel like a lot of good changes are coming for me soon.
My week was uneventful (thankfully). I had my first exam for the EMT class and got a suitable grade. Below are my blogging & reading achievements for the week.

Congratulations on making some big changes in your life. I have always thought that being an EMT would be very rewarding. I have had my eye on the new Jim Butcher book and am very curious about that one. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm really looking forward to the changes!
DeleteYou definitely have different and unique reads here, I hope you enjoy them all!!

DeleteWhoa. I've missed a lot while I've been gone (father had surgery last week and getting ready for that, trip to Baltimore, etc.). My wife was an EMT for a while and is now a 911 dispatcher, so from her, I know those classes aren't easy. AND THEN you're going to be working with sex offenders too. Whoa, again...and in an impressive way. Good luck and continued success with all the changes you're undertaking.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bryan
DeleteCongratulations on making all these changes in your life. Change can be scary, but it is necessary to grow and be who you are meant to be. I keep seeing Jim Butcher books on peoples STS. I think the covers are amazing so I need to check them out.
ReplyDeleteI love Jim Butcher, though I don't read him as often as I should.
DeleteYay! I'm excited for you about all the new things going on in your life :) Thanks for joining in on the Reluctant Romantic challenge! I'm excited to hear about the books you pick up, especially since I expect they'll be books outside of my comfort zone too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm interested in hearing how you like romance. I've already hopped over there and see that you are liking it better than you thought you would.
DeleteWow, big changes afoot for you and lots of challenges!
ReplyDeleteDid you see they're remaking Little House on the Prairie?
Yeah, I heard that! I'll have to see what it's like. I wonder if it'll be more like the books this time around.
DeleteOh, been wanting to watch Truly, Madly, Deeply. Hope the rest of your classes go well. Have a good reading week.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time watching it. It wasn't quite what I expected, but it was cute. Good to see Alan Rickman. :)
DeleteGreat month....nice stack of books.
ReplyDeleteLike your photos of them.
I hope your week is a good one.
Best of Luck with your EMT training.
